Day 7: getting better

I don’t want to tempt fate but… Breastfeeding has got a tiny bit less painful. I’m thinking this may be because the cracking has started to heal and hopefully because they’re getting used to it. Apparently or so I’m told by my midwife friend, the nipples are similar to the mouth in the sense that it’s one of the fastest healing places on the body. Huzzah! Ha! It could all change of course. Everyone says you need to give yourself 2 weeks until breastfeeding becomes established. Roll on 2 weeks.

In other news, i managed to get her to latch on whilst in my arms only ( no pillow support) and walked with her. Little victories…

  1. Congratulations! Glad to hear it’s becoming less painful! Looking forward to reading more of your posts. By the way, I’m holding a give away for nursing mothers, feel free to enter 🙂
