The last month we’ve been having so much standing. A lot of slippy surfaces. A lot of one handed standing. Holding on to unstable surfaces such as her Jumperoo. I don’t think she’s making it easier for herself but then again, she doesn’t know any better, she’s still discovering about surfaces, stability, what objects might be heavy enough to lean on and to be honest, all the wobbling is probably helping her out with an ace core.
This leads me on to the way she falls. It never occurred to me before but if she doesn’t know how to fall she’d get ‘stuck’ more often and would be scared about falling. If she was scared it might mean she’d go exploring less. So knowing how to fall well is actually very important in helping her find confidence in trying out new things.
